About volunteering at Southampton Athletic Club
Volunteer
Our club is “Powered by volunteers!” Our coaches, officials, team managers, committee and helpers are the life blood or our organisation and enable us to be successful.
If you have a passion for athletics, some time to get involved, and want to help move our club forward please get in touch.

What type of volunteer roles are there?
Whether you are interested in coaching seniors or helping out at the Academy, we are always looking for more coaches.
All our coaches are all qualified and certified by UKA. If you are just starting your coaching journey or already qualified we have a place for you.
The club will fund all training classses.
Our officials are essential to us being able to host and take part in competitions.
From raking a sand pit to running an entire meeting, our officials simply make it all happen!
Training is provided by UKA and the club will fund it for you.
Our club competes in a number of different competitions and leagues. Our team managers are responsible for selecting, organising and assisting the team on the day.
As a registered charity and successful non-profit organisation we need a strong leadership team to set and drive our strategy as well as run the club on a day to day basis.
Roles include; chair, secretary, treasurer, membership and welfare office.
There are also a number of ‘general’ committee members who operate across the board.
