RR10 Race 8: 19th August 2026 7pm – IBM Hursley

Firstly, thank you for your patience while we've been finalising arrangements following the Fire at IBM Clubhouse. We can now confirm this last run of the RR10 season is going ahead:

• IBM have very kindly allowed us to proceed despite recent events - and we thank them hugely for this.
• Following the Fire at the IBM Club House WE MUST stay away from the club house itself. We start at the usual place on the lower playing field and will finish here as well, so we ask that there is no congregating at the Cricket Pitch, Meet at the Playing Fields ready to start.

Wednesday 19th August 2026, start time 7pm promptly

Location:            

IBM Hursley, Hursley Park Rd, Hursley, Winchester SO21 2JN

Car Parking:

As ever, we expect parking to be tight, so please car share. If possible please try and arrive after 6pm

The Course:       

Is one lap around the playing field pitch, before three full laps of the IBM circuit, with the finish funnel on the lower starting field.

The route is 7.8km or 4.85 miles, on grass, gravel and tarmac, so road shoes recommended.

Hazards:     

In some places the gravel track is heavily deteriorated, marshals will be in place to warn you, but please be aware of this on your run.

Due to course restrictions; we have 1 extra lap of the main circuit this year, so please be aware that there may be more congestion in places.

As this is an clockwise circuit, we ask over taking runners to pass of the left please, and we would remind that it is the overtaking runners responsibility to overtake in a safe and considerate manner please, give every one a "well-done" as you pass if you have breath 🙂.

It is hot! You all know your own bodies, but lets enjoy it, if you could come back in good condition that would be great!! 🙂

Please bring your own cups and refreshments - we will have water for emergencies.

Traffic:

Please allow plenty of time to arrive – the traffic isn’t expected to be unusually busy on the evening

Welfare:            

Please bring your own drinks for refreshments. We have arranged for portaloo's to be at the car park.

It’s why we all turn up isn’t it? 😊

We do not have sole access to the grounds, please be considerate to any other users.
