RR10 Event 6: Marwell Zoo - 24th June 2026

Eastleigh Running Club cordially invite all clubs to Event 6 of the 2026 RR10 season

The event will start at 7.00 prompt

Venue

Marwell Zoo Thompson's Lane Colden Common Winchester SO21 1JH

Location

The Zoo is located off the B2177 Portsmouth Road between Fishers Pond and Upham What 3 Words wheres our capybara (only joking ) but it is the big place with animals in it.

There are currently road works in the area and we will advise of any problems nearer to the 24th

Parking

There is a large on site car park but we would encourage car sharing

There will be a £2.00 per car fee ( cash only and correct change if possible) and all this money goes to Marwell not ERC

Course

It will be a course of approximately 4.5 miles the same as last year in the woods etc , the start will be in the same place but there will be a different route through the car park area 

It will be run on tarmac, shale, gravel, woodland trails and grass and there will be tree roots etc and other hazards consistent with a cross country run, we will try to mark any major obstacles with flour 

We will be doing our last course recce nearer Race Day and will inform everyone if there are any major changes and post a revised course map if necessary then

Facilities

There will be chemical toilets on site

Refreshments

Limited water will be available but please bring your own cups and cakes will be on offer

General

Please ask your members not to warm down on the course as it is narrow in places and please vacate the car park by 8.30
