Lets celebrate our Officials

As a club we owe so much to our officials, it doesn't matter if you are a track sprinter, cross country runner, thrower or jumper, you all need officials to record, times, distances and heights.

This weekend we had two of our more experienced officials at the Diamond League in London. John Stansfield and Malcom Wise were both there making sure that the experience of the athletes and spectators was the best it could be. If you watched the ladies High Jump you may have seen John, Malcom was also out in the field.

Back at home at the YDL on Sunday we had two younger members help out with the field events. Under close supervision Alex and Jack both enjoyed being in charge of the EDM to measure Discus and Javelin. Alex also came back to spike Long Jump later in the day.
