Jones tops UK rankings
More great indoor performances have been achieved from our young athletes over the last couple of weeks. None more so than from U17 Adam Jones who broke the 2m high jump mark in Uxbridge on valentines day. Jones set a new indoor club record of 2.03m to top the UK rankings and for good measure long jumped 6.62m which wasn't quite good enough to take Nicholas Hunt's indoor club record but was good enough to top the UK long jump rankings. Jones also improved his 2nd place on the clubs all time indoor lists with his effort in the shot putt.
In Birmingham on Sunday, U17 Emma Froome improved her 3rd place on the clubs all time indoor 300m list with a fine run of 43.39 secs.
In Lee Valley on Saturday U13 Lucy-Jane Matthews improved both her own 60m hurdles indoor club record and also her indoor high jump record and now holds an incredible 6 indoor and 5 outdoor club records.
All this years young athlete performances are reflected in the clubs young athlete rankings lists shown below and the records updated in the relevant part of the website.
