Harting 10 Trail Race

Fellow runners and running clubs,

A month today is the Harting 10 Trail Race on Sunday, August 3rd.  We had a club social run on Tuesday around the course and it was as spectacular as usual, if a tad warm.

We’ve added a free kids fun run this year.  We hope your members will be able to participate and that you can help publicise this the race within your club.

The information previously provided is below and attached

Warm regards

Liss Runners

This takes place in the Sports War Memorial Field in South Harting, West Sussex, near Petersfield.  The nearest post code is GU31 5QA - w3w ///valid.pedicure.cliff.

This popular race is a challenging 10 mile, multi-terrain run over private lanes, gravel tracks, bridleways and footpaths in the beautiful countryside of the South Downs National Park across the Hampshire/Sussex border.  The route includes a section of the iconic South Downs Way.  The course will be well signed and marshalled by enthusiastic Liss Runners members.  There will be mile markers, water stations and medical support.

Medals are awarded to all finishers, with trophies/cash prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female, and 1st male and female in age categories V40, V50, V60 and V70.  In addition, every finisher will be entered to win one of two pairs of Hoka trainers from our event sponsor.  There will be a free post race massage courtesy of Body & Mind Physiotherapy, plus great cakes and refreshments.

The event is put on by us at Liss Runners with our members providing enthusiastic support.  The race always has a friendly and relaxed vibe and (fingers crossed) has typically been blessed by good weather.  The event also raises important funds for our supported charity – The Rosemary Foundation.  50% of the proceeds from the race will be donated to them.

This is our contribution to the region’s running calendar and is a little bit different in being a summer trail race of 10 miles.

We hope that you and your club can help in publishing our race.  We promote other club’s events within our WhatsApp groups, newsletter and within the local races page on our website - https://www.liss-runners.org.uk/racing/local-races/.  Feel free to contact me for reciprocal publicity.

So, we ask your support in helping to promote our race within your running community and provide the following:
