General Details
The venue address is Itchen Valley Country Park, Allington Lane, West End, Southampton, SO30 3HQ.
The race will start promptly at 09:30.
The race start/finish area will be at the totem pole at the top of the hill within the Country Park (cares.sports.resort). Cakes and water will be provided at the finish. Please bring your own cups or water bottles. Club flags and tents will be pitched here.
Parking
Parking is available within the Country Park site. It is a ticketed barrier entry and you will need to pay by card on departure. You must pay at the pay machines in the car parks. You cannot pay at the barriers. Please car share as much as possible. Please do not park on the verges or on Allington lane.
Results
We will be using parkrun barcodes to automate results processing, see details on the CC6 website. Please bring your parkrun barcode on the day.
Spectators
Spectators are welcome including spectators’ dogs. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the bridle paths, and please observe instructions provided on signage at the park.
Park Users
The Country Park will be open to other park users. Please be courteous and respectful to those who not part of the running event.
Toilets
There are toilets by the main car park near Go Ape (in the black building) and by the Café near the main entrance to the park. Please do not ‘go’ where you are not supposed to go! Please also do not leave any litter behind and do not drop anything on the course.
Route
The course is approximately 7.1km (4.4mi). The route starts at the top of the hill and then completes 2 laps of the course before returning up the hill to the finish. The route is undulating with most of the course taking place on solid gravel paths. There are some short sections of grass and mud. The route crosses the main road of the Country Park twice on the route.
Please always follow the marshal instructions.
Please be mindful and respectful when overtaking or when passing the tail of the field.
