British Masters 10k - Chichester 1/2/2026

The British Masters 10k combined this year with the Chichester 10k. Despite all the rain of late and the early morning downpour the sky cleared for what turned out to be very good running conditions.
SAC were in good attendance with a Vet Ladies team and 2 vet men’s teams.
Rikki James was the star performer, recently moved into the Masters category, finished 6th overall and take his first Masters Title to win the M35 Gold medal Title for 2026 in a time of 31:04.
Along with Matt Risden (33:25) and Thomas Doran (33:29) packing well for 7th & 8th M40’s respectively they secured Team Gold in the M35-44 category.
Interesting to note these were 3 different Vet 35’s winning Gold to the 3 that won team gold at the British Masters 5k Championships in November 2025.
Sarah Winstone, a multiple British Masters Champion and England International put her recent injury woes behind her to finished a brilliant 5th overall and runner up in the W35 category in 35:36.
Team mates Alice Burch (39:55) finished 7th W40, Amanda Miles (41:23) recently moved up to W45 category finished 6th and Mariam Mojahid (44:50) running her first Masters race as a W35 finished 16th which secured Team Silver.
The M55 men’s team did well to get a team on the start line and eventually finished 4th team. It’s been a mix of injury and illness but all 3 were happy with their performances and look forward to progressing here on in.
Ian Harpur a former Senior Irish International in his day comfortably met his target of sub 40mins to run 39:27 for 17th in the M55 category.
Alastair Knockton and Andy Morgan-Lee followed in close together with 41:50 & 41:55 to finish 29th & 32nd M55’s respectively.
Rob Shenton was the only M50 SAC representative in his M45-54 category and pleased with his performance in 45:22.
