Sports Centre Renovation takes next step forward
Exciting news for the club as plans towards our new clubhouse and grandstand moved another step forwards.
Along with other supporters of the centre, Our club chair, Tracey Jones, spoke passionately to the council’s planning panel about Southampton’s athletic heritage and how important the upgraded facilities will be for everyone.
Councillors voted to delegate signing off on the plans to the head of transport and planning after flood and drainage mitigation measures have been agreed.
The centrepiece of the scheme is a "community hub" housing a cafe, gym, and multi-function rooms.
