Time for one more Pole Vault Competition?

With the track closing for some much needed care there was just time for one more Pole Vault Competition.

With the support of funds from the Martin Hedges donation the Pole Vault Academy has demonstrated what can be achieved with a bit of support, some enthusiastic athletes and a dedicated coach, Del Warn. This year one of the young athletes made her first appearance at the English Schools Track and Field Championships in July. This was not only Lexi's first appearance but she was also one of the youngest at the competition, lets hope this is the first of many championships for Lexi.

Del also organised two Pole Vault competitions at Southampton both of which enabled the young athletes to test their skills in vaulting and achieve new Personal Bests just before the track closes.
