Get Involved in Earth Hour

Subject: Earth Hour 2021 - Get Involved!

Hi Southampton Athletic Club,

I hope you are well and staying safe at this time.

My name is Allie and I work in the Strategic Communications team at WWF. I am getting in touch to let you know that Earth Hour is taking place on Saturday 27th March at 8.30pm and we would love for you to be involved!

Earth Hour is the moment hundreds of millions of people across the world turn off their lights for one hour to show their commitment to protecting our planet. Joining the switch off for Earth Hour is a great way to bring your community together at this time, while building awareness of the need to protect our planet and reminding us that even small actions can make a big difference.

How can you get involved in Earth Hour 2021?

·        Switch off your lights 8:30pm – 9.30pm on Saturday 27th March.

·        Reach out to your community and their friends and family to get them involved!

·        Let us know about any ideas or virtual events you have planned.

·        Download the My Footprint app and take on an Earth Hour challenge to discover how you can take action for our planet, one step at a time.

Please let me know if you are interested in being a part of Earth Hour this year, or if you have anything planned already, we would love to support you in this. The team will be following up very soon with a guide to Earth Hour which will include creative assets for social media channels and ideas to get your community engaged in Earth Hour from home.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,

Allie
