Important Information Quad Kids (year4/5) & Foundation (Years 6/7/8)

As in previous years, we had hoped that we would have enough coaches to offer training sessions throughout the summer holidays. All the coaches here at Southampton Athletic Club are all volunteers and give up their free time to coach the children. Although we have and continue to make requests for additional helpers, we have been unable to gain enough helpers to join our existing coaching team. It is with regret that there will not be any training on the following Wednesdays, this applies to Quadkids only - 26th July, 2nd August, 23rd August, 30th August & 6th September. Please note that there will NOT be any training for the Foundations throughout the summer from 26th July to 6th September (inclusive) Historically, we have taken a break during the whole of September but due to the above we have taken the decision to extend our training at the Sports Centre on the following Wednesdays 9th August & 16th August QUADKIDS ONLY 13th September NORMAL TRAINING CONTINUES FOR EVERYONE AT THE SPORTS CENTRE 20th September NORMAL TRAINING CONTINUES FOR EVERYONE AT THE SPORTS CENTRE 27th September NORMAL TRAINING CONTINUES FOR EVERYONE AT THE SPORTS CENTRE When we move to Wyvern as from the 4th October, that is when the existing year 5s (although they will be year 6s as from September) will be able to join the Foundation academy coached by Michelle and her team and we will then welcome the new Year 4s (who are currently year 3s). In order for the club to continue to providing coaching for all age groups we do need parent support and to highlight this it is only right that I bring this to your attention the following - Nikki – Her son left the Fundamental academy several years ago. Catherine – Her son does not yet train with the club. Gemma – Her daughter leaves the Fundamental academy in September Mark – His son leaves the Fundamental academy in September Rhianna – Leaves to go to University in September/October Sarah & Lorraine (ladies who run the porta cabin) – both their children will be moving up to the Foundation academy in October Again, if anyone is interested in helping the coaches on a permanent or ad hoc basis please speak to any of the coaches or Sarah/Lorraine or contact me directly.
