SEAA survey
To all supporters of Southern Athletics
This message will probably have reached you because you are a supporter of grassroots athletics. I am hoping you will complete this brief survey by clicking the link below and share with us your views on the current situation. In 2007 SEAA surrendered its affiliations and road levies to England Athletics in support of the recommendations of Sir Andrew Foster (the Foster report).
In return England Athletics were to support the regions in staging competition. The regional funding from England is now uncertain although the affiliation income received by EA substantially exceeds the annual grant to the regions many-fold.
As you know we provide the essential link between club and county through to national level providing many championship and team opportunities on all surfaces over the year as well as creating the vital pathway for athletes and officials to higher competition. Southern Athletes enjoy competing in the area Championships and all we need is the full and committed support of England Athletics.
We hope this survey will go some way to demonstrating to our governing body how you, as a grassroots athletics supporter, feel about the way our sport is being run and the need to ensure that the money you pay in each year is used in the right way.
