Orien Young

Many of our older members will remember Orien who recently passed away. He was a stalwart member of Portsmouth AC and a fine sprinter. He became a much respected official and starter and in his later years played a central role in setting up the Transplant games. Our commiserations to his family and to Portsmouth AC. Orien's funeral will take place at 12.15 on 27 October at 'The Oaks', Bartons Way, Havant. It will be preceded by Orien competing his final 100m on the track at Alexandra Park at 11.30. Members wishing to pay their respects at Orien's final 100m should assemble by 11.15. Following the service there will be a wake at the Mountbatten Centre.
