National schools success

The independent schools national championships and National prep schools championships took place at the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham on Monday the 4th July. It has taken a little while for the results to come out but the champioships resulted in 5 medals for the clubs young athletes. In the prep schools champs, Anna Merritt took the U14 girls discus gold with a new pb of 34.78m just ahead of Elizabeth Adamson who took silver also with a new pb of 33.63m.  Elizabeth also took silver in the 800m running just outside 2 mins 26 secs.  Anna was 4th in the shot putt and in the same age group Ellie Sproul made the 200m final finishing 7th.  In the U12 boys age group Francis Moore was 10th in the javelin. National prep schools champs 2016 In the independent schools championships Maya Gill took silver in the U17 womens 800m and Aimee Rayner took bronze in the same age group in the 1500m with a new pb.
