Ferne, Novell & Tilt take British Masters titles

Three British masters championships took place last weekend.  The cross country championships took place in Bath and the indoor championships and winter throws took place at Lee Valley. The clubs athletes were in action in Lee Valley with 68 year of Mike Ferne comfortably winning the over 60's discus title outside on the track, the only competitor with a throw over 40m. Inside the Lee Valley stadium, there were also victories for 71 year old Vic Novell who won the over 70's 200m title once more dipping inside 30 secs.  Vic was also 2nd in the over 70's 60m sprint behind British record holder Glyn Sutton.  Jon Tilt adding another British 400m indoors title in the over 50's age group running sub 56 secs.  Del Warn took part in 3 events and was 6th in his over 50's 60m heat, 7th in the sprint hurdles final and 6th in the long jump final.
