Sophie takes commonwealth youth games bronze

Overnight in Somoa, Sophie Merritt took the bronze medal for England in the womens discus at the commonwealth youth games.  It was an Australian 1-2 with Kristina Moore taking gold and compatriat Bianca Hansen taking silver with throws of 46.95m & 46.20m respectively.  Sophie hurled the discus 44.83m just 50cm short of her personal best to take 3rd place and her place on the podium at the medal ceremony.
