Sean Adams takes 3 A’s title

The famous AAA name and championsips were revived this year as the English senior championships which took place alongside the CAU (national inter-counties) championships at Bedford yesterday & today.Sean Adams took 3rd place in the 400m hurdles in a time just outside his pb but with first & second place welshmen Dai Greene & Paul Bennett competing only in the CAU event, Adams was crowned AAA champion. 8 other senior athletes from the club took part in the event with Matt Watson coming 6th equal in the high jump, Sam Bass Cooper coming 6th in pole vault and James Grocock 7th in long jump.  Matt Bennett was 12th in the mile race and Matt Revier took the same position in the 5000m as did Laura Brenton in the women's 5000m race.  Amy Teal was 7th in her 100m heat and Freya Jones qualified in first place for the javelin but unfortunately all was not well in the final and Freya withdrew in 12th.
